The 2024/2025 season has presented significant challenges to all clubs participating in hockey competitions. Unlike the previous year, teams are now responsible for organizing home matches at their own expense and covering the full cost of refereeing services.

Since the start of the championship, our club has already allocated over 100 thousand hryvnas towards refereeing expenses. However, despite this investment, we find ourselves in a recurring scenario. The management of HC Kyiv Capitals has observed no notable improvement in the quality of refereeing compared to the previous season and a lack of willingness on the part of the refereeing officials to address these issues.

In light of these circumstances, we regret to announce that HC Kyiv Capitals will not pay for work of referees for home matches, both for our club and HC Kryzhynka.

Additionally, we are pleased to inform that applications are now open for hockey referee school. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will have the opportunity to attain an official referee status. Our club is prepared to reimburse the course fees for all individuals who express an interest in this initiative.
