Ihor Arkhypenko’s team was scheduled to end the game week with a home match against Kremenchuk. However, due to the exceptional performance of the Ukrainian student team at the Universiade, this match has been postponed to a later date.

On the other hand, the match against the reigning champion was earlier postponed by a day and will proceed as planned. Oleg Shafarenko’s team will commence its 2025 season with a match against Kryzhynka after a nearly month-long break.

January turned out to be quite eventful for some Sokil hockey players. Maksym Zherebko and Mykyta Polonytskyi, representing the Ukrainian national team (U-20), achieved the title of world champions in division 1B. Similarly, Oleksandr Filimonov, Tymofii Savytskyi, and Denys Borodai, along with Danylo Makarenko, claimed bronze medals at the Universities Games.

As for Kryzhynka, the team played both postponed and regular matches during the month, facing two defeats each from Dnipro and Kyiv Capitals.

Ihor Arkhypenko’s team has suffered three losses to their upcoming opponents, who are currently in second place and aiming to close the gap with the current leader, Kyiv Capitals.

The anticipated evening match will take place on the ice of the ATEK sports complex, home to both teams.
