He played 811 games in the National Hockey League and participated in the all-star matches in 1997 and 1999. He was a world champion in 1990. As a member of the Ukrainian national team, he participated in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and the World Championships in 2001, 2003, and 2003. He is considered the most productive Ukrainian hockey player in the NHL.
Vadym Shakhraichuk is a Ukrainian hockey player, primarily known as a center forward. He holds the record for the most matches played and points scored in the history of the Ukrainian national hockey team. Currently, he serves as the head coach of the Ukrainian national hockey team.
Throughout his career, he has played for various teams including "Sokil" (Kyiv), ShVSM (Kyiv), "Nuremberg Ice-Tigers" (Germany), several clubs in the Russian Federation, ATEK (Kyiv), and HC "Zvolen" (Slovakia).
Shakhraichuk has participated in 133 matches (47 goals + 45 assists) representing the Ukrainian national team, including the Winter Olympic Games in 2002 and numerous world championships from 1995 to 2011. He also represented Ukraine in the youth national team during the World Cups of 1993 and 1994.
Since May 2023, he has taken on the role of head coach for HC "Kyiv Capitals."

Throughout his career, Sryubko played for various teams including "Sokil" (Kyiv), "Kamloops Blazers" (ZHL), "Toledo Storm" (ECHL), "Las Vegas Thunder" (IHL), "Bakersfield Condors" (ECHL), "Port Huron Border Cats" (UHL), "Fort Wayne Comets" (UHL), "Utah Grizzlies" (IHL), "Grand Rapids Griffins" (IHL), "Syracuse Crunch" (AHL), and others.
Sryubko represented the national team of Ukraine in 106 matches (16 goals + 8 assists). He participated in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and the World Championships from 2001 to 2011. Additionally, he played for the youth national team of Ukraine at the 1994 World Championship.
In 2016, Sryubko began his coaching career as an assistant head coach for "Donbas," and in 2019, he assumed the role of head coach for the national hockey team of Ukraine.
