The hosts made some changes to their line-up for the second match. Hordiushyn and hat-trick scorer Aleksyuk were not included in the Odesa team’s squad, so Poperezhai took the place in goal.
The hosts quickly opened the scoring, with Ratushnyi setting up Kutsevych for a successful shot past Makarenko. Towards the end of the first period, Ihor Arkhypenko’s team conceded two more goals. Nikonov found the net while his team had the advantage, and Portnoi scored another goal with a precise shot from a distance.
In the second period, Storm-Odesa maintained their attacking momentum. Within the first 10 minutes, Revuka scored a double, while Kryklia and Sydorenko also got on the scoresheet. Despite having a power play of 34 minutes during the match, Arkhypenko’s team struggled to capitalize on these opportunities.
In the final period, the hosts clinched victory with goals from Sydorenko and Nikonov, who both scored doubles along with Revuka, securing third place with 45 points.
In the next match Oleksandr Bobkin’s team will host Kremenchuk at home on Friday, while Kryzhynka will continue their championship campaign with a Saturday trip to Bila Tserkva.
