Unfortunately, the continuation of the Ukrainian hockey championship drawing in 2025 was delayed by about an hour due to an air alarm. In a stroke of luck, the match proceeded as planned.
The score remained tied until the midway point of the starting period when a typical turn of events occurred between these rival teams – a successful power play. The home team managed to secure two goals in quick succession during the 5×4 game, with Chupryna and Halin making impressive shots.
The momentum continued into the second 20 minutes with another goal scored after a power play. This time, our team seized the opportunity as Cheremnov won the faceoff, leading to Buniak’s sixth goal of the season with a powerful long shot.
Ihor Arkhypenko’s team had opportunities to make a comeback, but before the second break, the opponent managed to equalize the two-goal lead. The striker Osadchyi from the Pikes scored his fourth goal in the matches against Kryzhynka.
In the third period, Kostiantyn Butsenko’s team capitalized on the mistakes of Kryzhynka, scoring during a power play. Klionov and Ponomariov ultimately turned the tide in favor of Dnipro with their goals. Delii, on the other hand, sealed the final score of 6:1. As a result, Dnipro earned nine points in the tournament table, securing themselves in fifth place. The teams are set to face each other again on Thursday at 18:00, this time in Kyiv.
