Our team arrived in Kremenchuk with a squad of 15 hockey players and two keepers. However, due to a disqualification, one of our key players, Buniak, was unable to join the game today, leaving his teammates without his support. As the captain, Artem Arkhypenko once again led the team onto the ice.
The team from Poltava region were also eager for this matchup, with one of their top performers, Bezuhlyi, notably absent from the line-up. Kremenchuk took control of the game early on, asserting their dominance and pressuring the opponents with fierce plays. Towards the middle of the first period, the hosts managed to break the deadlock, with Myronenko scoring the opening goal.
In the latter part of the first period, Andrii Sriubko’s team extended their lead comfortably with Kryvoshapkin and Poperezhai scoring two more goals.
Early in the second period, the Kyiv team had a brief two-man advantage, but failed to capitalize. Before the second break Tselohorodtsev set up a fantastic play for Abadzhian, leading to a confident finish by Yevhenii. Subsequently, Petlenko substituted Makarenko on the backline.
The third period saw more goals from the hosts, with Tselohorodtsev, Andrushchenko, and Pankov finding the back of the net, while Kryvoshapkin sealed the victory with a double. This resulted in Kremenchuk defeating Kryzhynka for the second consecutive time with a 8:0 scoreline.
The teams are set to face off again at the Iceberg arena tomorrow at 13:00.
