Kryzhynka is preparing for the first match of the championship of Ukraine in the season
Ihor Arkhypenko’s team will compete in the opening round and will face the current vice-champion in the fourth match of the championship in Kremenchuk.
November 9, 13:00, Kremenchuk, Iceberg Arena. Broadcast: YouTube FHU.
For the Kyiv team, the upcoming match marks their first return to the professional level in the past eight years, when they competed as Kryzhynka-Companion. Following a triumphant season in the Junior Hockey League, this current championship presents a valuable opportunity for the team to test their skills at the adult level and gain crucial playing experience.
Their debut match will see them face off against Kremenchuk at the Iceberg Arena. In the initial two games, under the guidance of coach Andrii Sriubko, the team secured three points by defeating Dnipro on home ice (10:3) and experiencing an away loss against Storm-Odesa (1:3).
Kremenchuk has implemented notable changes in their lineup compared to the previous season, with players like Illia Fedorov, Timofii Savytskyi, Maksym Maksymenko, and Danylo Makarenko departing. Noteworthy is Makarenko’s move from Kremenchuk to Tryzub and after that to Kryzhynka.
At the same time, Volodymyr Ponomarenko, Yurii Myronenko, and Yehor Bezuhlyi have joined the roster of Kremenchuk, while the coaching staff has seen a change. Andrii Sriubko now leads the team in place of Dmytro Sumets.
The lineup for Kryzhynka will consist of last year’s JHL champions and several players who previously played for Tryzub, which is not competing in the current championship.
