Unfortunately, the start date for Kyiv Capitals in the final series of the Ukrainian championship coincided with the date of the second semifinal match of the Junior Hockey League. As a result, Nazar Boiko, Oleksandr Valkun, Matvii Mazko, and Tymur Lapko could not help Ihor Arkhypenko’s team. Also, Denys Plesovskykh remained out of the game due to injury in the first match.

However, even without them, the guests had three lines at their squad. At the start of the second period, Denys Zherebko opened the scoring in the match. Sokil’s minimal advantage held until the final seconds. It was then, after Kryzhynka-Capitals pulled their goalie, Kalsin sent the puck into the empty net.

Thus, Vladyslav Zozovskyi`s team avenged last year’s defeat in the final. The position of our team in the current championship will be known after the series between Bilyi Bars and Shershni. Currently, there is a tie in the series – 1:1.
