Ihor Arkhypenko’s team entered the match in a less than ideal situation compared to the game in Bila Tserkva. With 12 field players and two goalkeepers included in the line-up, it was Petlenko who took the place in goal for the match against Kremenchuk.

On the other hand, guests arrived in the capital with rather strong squad, but without Zakharchenko and Matusevych. Although Andrii Sriubko made a few changes, Kremenchuk’s line-up didn`t seem weaker.

The guests were expected to create more opportunities from the beginning, but Petlenko stood strong in goal.

It took 13 minutes before Kryzhinka’s defense was breached, with Kryvoshapkin converting a penalty shot to open the scoring. Kremenchuk quickly doubled the lead as Kryvenko capitalized on a chance from the blue line to beat Petlenko for the second time.

In the 17th minute, the hosts had a chance on a power play, but Kucher remained solid in goal, keeping the scoreline unchanged.

The score remained 0:2 until halfway through the second period. It was at that moment when Andrii Sriubko’s team was able to extend their lead. Tselohorodtsev’s exceptional pass set up Abadzhian for a one-on-one opportunity against Petlenko, and Kremenchuk`s forward managed to score from two attempts against keeper. Following his goal, Makarenko took over in goal.

Towards the end of the second period, the team from Poltava region had first chance to score during power play, but was unable to convert it.

In the third period visitors found a way to score their fourth goal. Makarenko made a crucial save after Braha`s shot, but Poperezhai was first on rebound and found the net. Midway through the period, our team conceded again as Abadzhian intercepted the puck and executed a well-crafted 2on1 play with Kryvoshapkin, resulting in another goal.

No further goals were scored afterwards. Consequently, Kremenchuk earned 39 points in the tournament table. It’s worth mentioning that Kryzhynka will face Sokil in their upcoming match on December 20, while Kremenchuk will take on Kyiv Capitals a day earlier.
