The match got off to a challenging start with an air alarm ending 40 minutes before kickoff, followed by a power outage just 25 minutes later. However, thanks to a generator, the hockey game proceeded that evening.

The visiting team, considered the favorites, wasted no time in showcasing their skills. By the seventh minute mark, thanks to Stetsiura, Ratushnyi, and Poimanov, Odesa had already taken a commanding 3:0 lead.

But that was just the beginning. Before the first break, Stetsiura netted his second goal, converting on a power play for the first time, while Poimanov added his second of the night off a setup from Omelchuk.

In the next period, Odesa continued to dictate play. The fourth line stepped up, with Aleksiuk quickly scoring on another power play, and Nikonov made his double too. Mosiuk and Portnoi also got on the scoresheet before the second break.

Despite some chances for Ihor Arkhypenko’s team in the second period, notably from Shevchenko and Cheremnov, Zakharchenko stood tall in goal for Odesa.

The final period proceeded at a more subdued pace, with the question remaining whether the visiting goalkeeper could secure a shutout. It was not to be, as the Kyiv team managed to find the back of the net just 12 seconds before the final buzzer. The captain, Oleksandr Buniak, scored his second goal of the season.

Nevertheless, Oleksandr Bobkin`s team secured another three points, reclaiming the top spot. Meanwhile, Kryzhynka remained in fifth place.

Looking ahead, Storm-Odesa will face Kremenchuk in their next match on Sunday, while Ihor Arkhypenko`s team will travel to Bila Tserka to take on Dnipro.
